Cloudify is a fictional app that I designed to showcase a potential future for idea-sharing. I was inspired by the theory of innovation diffusion, and I performed series of agent-based simulations to study innovation diffusion. After I wrote down all my findings and almost wanted to wrap things up, I realized that I had a strong fixed mental model on how ideas are developed and shared around the world throughout the time. I never thought about how assumptions that might hold today can be overthrown in the future. That is when I decided to create a fictional product to challenge my own mental model.
